How long have you been teaching at SVAD?

How long have you been at SVAD as a student?
I was a student for 10 years before I began teaching.
What do your responsibilities at SVAD include?
I teach age ranges below 9, and have instructed ballet, tap, jazz and occasionally subbed for hiphop classes. I help with choreography for nutcracker and recitals and you can also find me at the front desk!
What is your dance background?
I did ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hiphop, and acro starting at the age of 6 here at SVAD!
I was a member of the Burlington Edison dance team when it was active my first 2 years of high school.
I also participated in dance competitions with Dansations as a soloist in the 2023 season.
What else should we know about you? Special recognition, awards, etc.
I have a won special recognition awards from UDA for pushing myself and working hard, that was my first two years of high school through the BE dance team!
What do you enjoy outside of studio time?
I am a licensed esthetician, who owns my own shop downtown burlington! I love to spend time outside, reading books has been a recent hobby of mine, i spend a lot of time with family as well as my cat Tina!
I love being able to share my love of dance to others and I love being able to be apart of something so wonderful, the beautiful culture of SVAD. I am so grateful to be apart of such a wonderful community and such supportive environment!
Dancers, don’t be afraid to mess up! It’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to forget the dance or the combination, it’s okay! You’re human you will make mistakes, I do all the time! It means you can improve and do even better the next time!
