How long have you been teaching at SVAD?

This is my 5th year assisting and second year as an employee.

How long have you been at SVAD as a student?

This is my 12th year at SVAD!

What do your responsibilities at SVAD include?

I assist Pre-Pointe/Intro Pointe classes in ballet, jazz, lyrical and contemporary styles!

What is your dance background?

I have danced at SVAD since the age of five and joined the competition team at the age of nine.

I am currently an honors student and dansations company member!

Outside of SVAD, I’ve trained at ballet summer intensives with Evergreen City Ballet and the San Diego Ballet.

What else should we know about you? Special recognition, awards, etc.

This past competition season I won the senior Con10der title at In10sity dance competition!

What do you enjoy outside of studio time?

I am a cheerleader at MVHS and my other hobbies include reading, cooking, and crochet!

I love getting to pass on my knowledge to younger dancers and helping to nurture their love for dance! My biggest pieces of advice:

1) don’t be afraid to ask questions or ask for additional help! Any teacher will be more than happy to answer questions or give additional tips/information, but we can’t know how to help if you never ask!

2) progress takes time, and consistency is key to making progress. Be patient and dedicated, and eventually you will begin to see your hard work pay off!

3) dance is a process, not a destination! There will always be room to improve, so don’t strive for perfection, but instead aim for progress
